The soft opening and partnership signing ceremony of the Enhance International Medical Center was held in Boao Lecheng International Medical and Tourism Pilot Zone on June 17.

Enhance International Medical Center, funded by Taiwan-funded Enhance Biomedical, started construction in 2019.

Covering a total area of 80 mu (5.3 hectares) and an overall floorage of 63,000 square meters, the medical center is set to be an comprehensive international hospital focusing on the research and clinical application of regenerative cell medicine. It currently has four major medical sectors, including prophylactic medicine and sport medicine.

"The administration will further optimize the international business environment and deepen its reforms to simplify procedures for government review," said Liu Zhefeng, deputy head of the Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone Administration.

Liu expressed his hope that Enhance International Medical Center can give full play to its strengths in tumor and sports rehabilitation, as well as its advantages in terms of having access to global high-level experts and medical institutes to attract more patients from home and abroad to Lecheng.
