The total hip arthroplasty that used the Actis femoral stem prostheses of Johnson & Johnson was a success at Boao Super Hospital on Dec 18. This was the first clinical application of this prosthesis in China.

The Intelligent Orthopedic R&D and Training Center was jointly established by the Hainan Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone Administration, the National Clinical Research Center for Orthopedics, Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation, as well as Shulan Health Management Group at the press conference for the successful surgery.

The innovation test base for the National Clinical Research Center for Orthopedics, Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation was also settled at Boao Super Hospital.
